The Ukrainian President, Zelensky described the bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session in New York on Monday (local time) as a 'very good meeting'. Zelensky was responding to a media query about his meeting with PM Modi. During the meeting, the two leaders recalled PM Modi's recent visit to Ukraine and expressed satisfaction at the continued strengthening of bilateral ties. They also discussed the situation in Ukraine as well as the way forward on the path of peace. PM Modi reiterated India's support for an early resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, restoration of peace and stability in the region. He informed that India is ready to provide all assistance within its means to facilitate a lasting and peaceful resolution of the conflict. This was the second meeting between the two leaders in two months on the sidelines of the UNGA.
Ukrainian President Zelensky also took to X to share details about their meeting. Zelensky said India and Ukraine are actively developing relations and working together to strengthen cooperation in various fields. "Mr. Narendra Modi, India. We are actively developing our relations and working together to strengthen cooperation in various fields," Zelenskyy said in a post on Twitter.
