What happened yesterday at the World Cup 2023 final was quite unexpected.

Everybody was rooting for India, as they have been phenomenal throughout the ODI World Cup 2023, but in the final, they lost the match against Australia.

With India losing the toss, some Indian cricket fans were disappointed, while some fans saw a silver lining in the 'loss'.

India lost the toss in the 1983 and 2011 World Cup finals but went on to win the tournament on both occasions, pointed out cricket fans.

Though the prediction of fans didn't work right, as last Night, Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bowl first. One netizen pointed out that maybe Australia made a wrong decision the way India did in the 2003 final.

Though it's quite bizarre to see, how the India of 1983 was similar to Australia of the 2023 World Cup tournament.

In 1983, India lost only two matches in the ODI format, and in the end clinched victory against West Indies at Lord's.  Similarly, in the 2023 World Cup season, the Australian team also didn't start well. They lost 2 matches and then they went on a winning spree and end up winning the 2023 Cricket World Cup Championship.

The way he took Rohit's catch, which was similar to the catch taken by Kapil Dev in the 1983 World Cup when India Won.
