The weather spoiled the match not just in Sri Lanka but in NewZealand as well. The match was first reduced to 29 overs but because of the horrid weather the match was abandoned.

For what it's worth India did seem to be in a good position when the rain arrived and was playing at 89 for 1 in 12.5 overs with Shubhman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav looking in great form.

With Newzealand leading 1-0 in the three match series, the men in blue will look to win the third match and level the series.
