But the unfortunate part is that even after striving so hard to make a name for myself, we artists, are still not taken seriously. Theatre is more so seen as a hobby than an actual profession. So naturally, most theatre artists struggle to provide for themselves. But even then, they do not hold themselves back. They do their job with the same dedication and motivation that they have always had. Such people inspire me daily.

When I am not taken seriously, my response usually would be to invite them to a play of mine and let them see for themselves the magic theatre withholds.

Theatre does really give you immense confidence and a new sense of self. I urge everyone who have a passion for it to just go for it. Trust yourself and jump a leap of faith and the rest of the magic will follow.
