There are no mosquitoes or police. Santa Cruz del Islote is the most crowded island in the world

In a quiet bay in the Caribbean Sea, off the coast of Colombia, a small island is known as the busiest island in the world, even though it is located in an archipelago that is not normally inhabited.  Mangroves and protected coral reefs are home to colorful birds and sea turtles, but Santa Cruz del Islote is considered the most crowded island on Earth. About two thousand people live on the island, which has an area less than two football fields, and this is what makes the island  It is among the most densely populated areas in the world, as the island's density is 4 times that of Manhattan Island in New York City, USA.

Santa Cruz del Islote was discovered 150 years ago, and mosquitoes are the reason for its longevity!

According to my best place, the history of the discovery of Santa Cruz del Isote goes back more than 150 years, when the boats of a group of fishermen who were searching for new waters in which to cast their nets docked on the isolated island, so they decided to spend the night there and resume the search after sunrise.

In the morning, the fishermen were surprised that the mosquitoes did not bite them while they were sleeping, which is a rare thing in the region, so they decided to stay on the island.
