There will be performances by bhajan emperor Anoop Jalota, Hansraj Raghuvanshi and Maithili Thakur in Shri Markandeya Mahadev Mahotsav of Varanasi region.  Along with national level artists, artists from Banaras will also perform in the festival to be held from 10th to 12th.Union Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey held a meeting with BJP officials for the preparations of the festival and discussed the outline of the festival.  Union Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey said that in Shri Markandeya Mahadev Mahotsav, famous singer Hansraj Raghuvanshi on 10 February, famous singer Maithili Thakur on 11 February and bhajan emperor Anup Jalota on 12 February will enthrall people with their bhajans.  Local artists will also participate in the festival.  Before the festival, a large scale cleanliness campaign will be conducted in the entire pilgrimage area.
