As Delhi and its neighbouring areas in the National Capital Region (NCR) woke up to a cold morning and dense fog as the cold wave strengthened its grip over northern India.
The weather department had predicted dense fog in the morning with a minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius with a very low possibility of rainfall.
Delhi's air quality on Monday remained in the 'very poor' category, with the AQI hovering at 395, according to the real-time data provided by the Safar app.
Data from the Safar app recorded at 8 am showed that the air quality in the Lodhi Road area stood at 344 while the air quality was at 400 in the ITO area, just a notch below the severe category.
