With every transfer window, the news about Bernardo Silva leaving City to set up his trade somewhere else gets louder by the hour. The Portuguese international moved to Manchester from Monaco in the summer of 2017. Since then, Silva has been instrumental to City's dominance in the PL. The Portuguese International has had a trophy-laden career at the Etihad. Bernado has 4 PL titles, 4 League Cups, and 1 FA Cup to his name. Furthermore, he is Pep's knight in shining armor and also a fan favorite at City.
The City forward was only inches away from joining Barcelona in the summer. Bernado's decision to leave Etihad in the summer came as a surprise. Although the club stood firm in its decision to restrict the sale of the Portuguese, in the summer, his departure looks imminent.
Given Bernardo's versatility and age, he will be on the shortlist of top European clubs. So here are the three possible destinations for Portuguese.
3) Athletico Madrid
Although there is a contrast in playing style, which might not work in favor of the Portuguese. It is no secret that the Colchoneros are huge admirers of the City forward and were willing to splash the cash for his signature in the summer. Athletico operates in a 4-2-3-1 formation, and Bernado could slot in the Number 10 role and work his magic in the middle of the park. The Colchoneros are devoid of creativity in the midfield, and Bernado could be the missing piece of the puzzle.
2) Paris Saint-Germain
Bernado is no stranger to the French League. The Portugues spent one fruitful year in Monaco and were part of the young and sensational squad that caused havoc in Europe. Mbappe stated, "he wants PSG to sign his former teammate." Only time will tell whether Silva is interested in joining his former compatriot at PSG.
1) Barcelona
The Blaugrana' are the forerunners in landing the Portuguese. It is a match made in heaven for both the club and the player, given Barca's style of play. Furthermore, Bernado considers Barca to be his dream club, and now its upto the Blaugrana's to turn his dream into reality.
