The Chinese Liaison Officer of the Tibet Information Office, Canberra Dawa Sangmo joined the celebration of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival jointly organised by the Melbourne-based Chinese Tibetan Civil Exchange Promotion Association, Chinese Democracy Movement, China New Youth Democratic Party and Australia-New Zealand Youth for Democracy Foundation on Saturday 30 September at Melbourne.

Representative Karma Singey, Zhang Duo Duo, President of the Sydney Tibetan-Chinese Friendship Association, Prof. Feng Chongyi, the President of the Australian and New Zealand Alliance of Victims of Chinese Communist Regime and Chin Jin, President of Federation for a Democratic China attended the event virtually.

In his speech, Representative Karma Singey extended his greeting to all Chinese friends in Australia on the special occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival and expressed gratitude for supporting the Tibetan cause. He further underlined the need to have more interaction between the Chinese and Tibetan people to strengthen the friendship between the two communities and better understanding among the Chinese people about the issue of Tibet.
