3. Marcelo Brozovic

Brozovi completed the youth program at the neighboring Hrvatski Dragovoljac. He joined Lokomotiva in July 2011 following Dragovoljac's relegation. On January 24, 2015, Brozovi signed a loan agreement with Inter Milan for a period of 1.5 years, including a buyout clause. On May 31, 2014, Brozovi was added to Niko Kova's final roster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

On June 7, 2014 he made his first appearance for the starting lineup. Frank Lampard and Brozovi have been likened in terms of playing style. His passing, tackling, running, and stamina are well-known. He has logged 621 minutes over 10 games in the 2022 season. He has two goals to his credit and zero assists. With a pass, he has tried 473 passes overall.

4.Mateo Kovacic

The trio of Brozovi, Modri, and Kovai in a team's midfield must be viewed as a cheat code. Kovai is another seasoned midfield Generalissimo, and with time on his side, he could still guide Croatia to two more World Cups like he did in 2018. Despite being an underestimated player, Kovacic is currently among the top players in Croatia.

Kovacic transferred from Real Madrid to Chelsea after the 2018 World Cup, where he has continued to refine his mindset and abilities. In the physically demanding Premier League, natural skill will only get you so far. The Croatian enforcer has added more steel to his game as a result of his time spent playing in England.

5.Mario Pasalic

Mario Pasalic still scores a good number of goals, many of them critical, from his preferred role as an offensive playmaker or broad central midfielder instead of as an outright striker. His ability to slink into gaps left by opposing defenses will increase Croatia's competitive advantage in the midfield.

Last season, Pasalic scored 13 goals for Serie A team Atalanta, a remarkable total for a squad led by manager Gian Piero Gasperini, a strong proponent of positional rotation. The Mainz-born player has had trouble scoring thus far in the season, but with the red-and-white Croatia jersey, he will have more leeway to try to add to his total of seven goals for his country.
