6. Ian Rush- 660 games
Rush is the Liverpool striker with the most games played, and no one can top his total of 346 goals in all competitions.
The Welshman spent 16 years in the first squad at Anfield, delivering unmatched firepower to keep the trophies coming in, with the exception of a season at Juventus.
Rush played 65 times in one memorable season, accounting for over 10% of his career appearances, as the 1983–84 season saw victories in the league title, League Cup, and European Cup.
Rush placed third among Liverpool players in the official fan survey "100 Players Who Shook The Kop." Besides Chester City, Juventus, Leeds United, Newcastle United, Sheffield United, Wrexham, and Sydney Olympics, he also had a brief time with those teams. Rush has worked as a television football commentator since ending his playing career in 2000. He also served as manager of Chester City from 2004 to 2005.
7. Phil Neal- 650 Games
In allusion to the Brazilian playmaker and as a complement to Neal, who was noted for scoring significant goals throughout the club's history, Zico was Neal's nickname while he was a member of Liverpool. Ashley Neal, his son, also excelled at football.
Neal played for Liverpool for 11 years during which time the squad won eight league championships and four European Cups, a remarkable run of success.
Paisley's transfer from Northampton Town proved to be one of the best deals ever since, from 1975 and 1985, he missed just one First Division game.
The full-back contributed 59 goals overall, 38 of which came from the penalty spot, including one goal each in the 1977 and 1984 European Cup finals.
