#1 Patrick Bamford- 55 goals
Bamford's injury woes continued into the new season: he was substituted by Dan James in the first half of his 13 August game at Southampton with an adductor injury[148], and he started only two of his eight subsequent appearances, remaining on the pitch for just over an hour in both cases.
Bamford came off the bench in Leeds' 2-1 loss to Aston Villa on 13 January 2023, making his first appearance since groin surgery in October, to score Leeds' sole goal of the game, his 100th career goal, and his first in any competition since December 2021.
Bamford was given the captain's armband after coming in as a second-half substitute for Rodrigo, and he scored Leeds' fourth and fifth goals in a 5-2 win over Cardiff in the F.A. Cup third round replay on 18 January 2023 at Elland Road.
#2 Jack Harrison- 33 goals
Leeds confirmed the permanent signing of Harrison on a three-year contract for a cost of £11 million on July 2, 2021.
On August 24, he scored his first two goals of the season in a 3-0 victory over Crewe Alexandra in the second round of the EFL Cup.
Harrison scored his first senior hat-trick in a 3-2 league victory over West Ham United on January 16, 2022.
Harrison scored a stoppage-time winner in a 2-1 win over Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium on May 22, 2022, keeping Leeds in the Premier League.
#3 Rodrigo- 26 goals
Rodrigo scored his debut goal in a 1-1 home league tie against Manchester City on October 3, 2020. After missing many games due to a groin injury at the start of 2021, he was used sparingly by Marcelo Bielsa upon his comeback until regaining form at the conclusion of the season, netting his first brace for the club in a 4-0 away victory against Burnley on 15 May. He concluded his first season with seven goals, four of which came in the final four games.
Rodrigo scored six league goals in the 2021-22 season. On the last matchday, his squad managed to stay on top.
