Rodrigo suffered a bone and ligament injury during a 3-1 win against Accrington Stanley in the fourth round of the FA Cup on 28 January 2023 and was sidelined until his comeback as a 66th-minute substitute for Patrick Bamford in the 2-2 home draw with Brighton on 11 March.
#4 Mateusz Klich- 24 goals
After an initial proposal was rejected, Klich signed a three-year contract with English club Leeds United for an unknown amount on June 23, 2017.
On 9 August, he made his first-team debut in a 4-1 League Cup win over Port Vale, and 10 days later in a 2-0 win against Sunderland.
However, he has been pushed down the pecking order by Kalvin Phillips, Eunan O'Kane, and Ronaldo Vieira. His first and only League start of the season occurred on September 26, 2017, against Cardiff City, when he slipped and lost control, resulting in a goal from Kenneth Zohore.
Klich claimed that he believed his unfortunate fall contributed to his dismissal by then-manager Thomas Christiansen. He was only used seldom after October.
Klich joined Dutch club FC Utrecht on a six-month loan from Leeds United until the conclusion of the 2017-18 season on 22 January 2018.
#5 Pablo Hernandez- 21 goals
Hernández joined Championship club Leeds United on a six-month loan agreement on August 2, 2016, with the possibility of a permanent move in January 2017, joining former Swansea boss Garry Monk and wearing the number 19 shirt.
After failing to get his documentation from the Qatar Football Association in time for the first game against Queens Park Rangers (a 3-0 loss), he made his debut in the EFL Cup on 10 August in a 3-2 win against Fleetwood Town.
Hernández signed an extension through 2022 on November 19, 2019. His two critical match-winning goals at home against Millwall and Reading in early 2020 were crucial in sustaining persistent pressure on West Bromwich Albion at the top of the table. In his comeback to the Premier League after 16 years, he ended the season with nine goals for the eventual winners.
