A New York judge has ruled that he would begin with Trial proceedings against former president Donald Trump on March 25. It’s a date set in history since Trump is going to be first ex-US prez to face criminal trial.

And it’s definitely going to be fireworks since he is top Republican contender to challenge Joe Biden in the November 2024 prez elections. Trump was in court when judge fixed the date of March 25 for the trial. Trial is expected to last for six weeks. Trump’s lawyers told the judge he should delay the trial since their client needs to campaign too but judge ignored their protest.

According to Washington Post, justice Juan Merchan said that “he will go forward with the trial on charges that Trump falsified business records during the heat of the 2016 political campaign to keep secret a past sexual liaison with an adult-film star”.

It seems the 2024 general elections in US would be a treat to watch.
