So is he Putin on Twitter now? Why these men are so insecure? 😂
Twitter just can’t keep calm, as its owner Elon Musk has suspended the accounts of dozens of prominent journalists of top media houses accusing the reporters of posting personal information and real-time location, according to reports by Washington Post.
Musk Tweeted, “Any account doxxing real-time location info of anyone will be suspended, as it is a physical safety violation. This includes posting links to sites with real-time location info. Posting locations someone traveled to on a slightly delayed basis isn’t a safety problem, so is ok.”

No posts of journalists had evidence that they did any of it
The accounts of the journalists who were suspended are from the Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, and Mashable. All of the journalists recently published articles about Musk’s suspension of Twitter accounts that had shared publicly available data about the movements of his private jet. Each of these articles highlighted the tension between Musk’s stated commitment to “free speech” and his choice to ban an account that he personally disliked.
Though it was unclear if all the journalists whose accounts were suspended had commented on or shared news about @elonjet.
"Criticizing me all day long is totally fine, but doxxing my real-time location and endangering my family is not," Musk tweeted.
“If anyone posted real-time locations & addresses of NYT reporters, FBI would be investigating, there’d be hearings on Capitol Hill & Biden would give speeches about end of democracy!” he further tweeted.
Going a step forward, Musk created a Twitter Poll asking Twitter users to vote on when to reinstate the doxxed accounts.
He then said he had offered too many options on the poll and would redo it, after results showed that some 43% voted for reinstating the accounts "now" - the largest share for any option.
Last Month, Musk tweeted that his commitment to free speech extended "even to not banning the account following my plane, even though that is a direct personal safety risk".
