PCOS stands for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. It’s a common hormonal disorder among people with ovaries, typically during their reproductive years. PCOS can lead to a variety of symptoms, including irregular menstrual cycles, excessive androgen (male hormone) levels, and the development of small cysts on the ovaries. Common symptoms also include weight gain, acne, and excess hair growth.
PCOS is different for every woman and so is the process of managing the symptoms. The concept of 'One Size Fits All' does not apply here! Take the first step towards understanding your PCOS type;
1 Insulin Resistant PCOS - Holding weight around the stomach/abdomen, sugar cravings, fatigue or brain fog.
2 Post-PiPCOS - Triggered by birth control, acne, irregular periods, excessive facial and body hair.
3 Adrenal PCOS - Hair loss/growth, acne, irregular or missed menstrual cycle.
4 Inflammatory PCOS - Headaches, joint pain, eczema and bowel issues like IBS.
