Thanks for sharing, important tips...
Uncertainty is a part of playing golf, but it doesn't have to be a bad thing. By understanding the causes of uncertainty and learning how to deal with it, you can improve your chances of playing your best golf.
I feel if one can identify the causes of uncertainty then it becomes easy to figure out a solution. The ones that I have experienced are:
Weather Conditions - wind, rain and temperature affects the ball flight.
Course conditions - type of grass, lie of the ball, and the slope of the fairway or Tee can affect the way the way the club impacts the ball.
Golf swing - even the best golfers in the world have mishits while playing competitive golf.
Golfer's mental state - If a golfer is feeling stressed, it can affect the swing and lead to uncertainty.
I am sharing some tips for dealing with uncertainty in golf: -
Be prepared for anything - more you know about the weather, the course conditions, your swing and your body, the better prepared you will be to deal with uncertainty.
Stay focused - it is very easy to get caught up in the moment and start to think too much about the outcome of a shot. Try to stay focused on the process of your swing and let your subconscious mind take over.
Have a positive attitude - a positive attitude will help you stay relaxed and focused, which in turn will make it easier to hit consistent shots.
Practice in different conditions - the more you practice in different weather and course conditions, the more familiar you will become with how the ball reacts.
Get periodic feedback - a good coach, mentor or may be your caddy can help you identify any swing flaws that may be contributing to uncertainty.
Uncertainty is a challenge that all golfers face, but it's one that can be overcome with practice, preparation, and a positive attitude.
