Imagine you're making a big drawing with lots of your friends. One person, let's call him Firoz, promised to give some money to another person named Anees for helping with the drawing. But guess what? Firoz didn't give the money to Anees, even though he promised to.
So guys Trouble brewing in B-town as Akshay Kumar's announcement of the third 'Welcome' movie has hit a major snag. Word on the street is that the film's shooting has come to a screeching halt because some people haven't been paid for their work on 'Welcome 2'.
It seems the Federation Of Western Cine Association has stepped in, and they're not happy campers. They're urging the stars of 'Welcome to the Jungle' and the big boss producer, Firoz Nadiadwala, to settle some financial matters. Apparently, Anees Bazmee, the filmmaker of 'Welcome 2', is owed some cash, and the cheques he got bounced like a bad check in a poker game.
BN Tiwari, the bigwig at FWICE, spilled the tea to ETimes. He told them, "Hey, we've told all the movie stars, including Akshay Kumar and Disha Patni, that we're not playing nice with Nadiadwala because he hasn't coughed up Rs 2 crore that's owed to the hardworking technicians. He paid them back in 2015 for 'Welcome 2', but then he changed his tune and stopped the payment after we cashed the cheque."
It looks like the FWICE is bringing back an oldie but a goodie – they're reusing their "non-cooperation" card against Nadiadwala, just like they did back in 2015.
Looks like the drama behind the scenes of 'Welcome to the Jungle' spicy.
