Veteran industrialist Ratan Tata breathed his last at the age of 86. The chairman of this industrial house N Chandrasekaran issued a statement on the demise of Tata, who was awarded the country's second highest civilian award - Padma Vibhushan. He said, 'We are bidding farewell to Ratan Naval Tata with great sorrow. He was a truly extraordinary personality. Chandrasekaran said, 'For the Tata Group, Ratan Tata was more than a chairman. For me, he was a mentor, guide and friend. He inspired through example. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, integrity and innovation, under his leadership the Tata Group expanded globally while always remaining true to its ethical norms.Chandrasekaran said that Tata's philanthropy and dedication to the development of society has impacted the lives of millions of people. From education to healthcare, his initiatives have left a deep mark that will benefit generations to come. Every personal conversation with Tata in strengthening all the work is an example of his true humility.  Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, said, "On behalf of the entire Tata family, I offer my deepest condolences to his loved ones. His legacy will continue to inspire us.There is a wave of mourning across the country over the demise of industrialist Ratan Tata. Many celebrities of the country, including President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have expressed condolences.
