Vivo recently confirmed the launch of the S18 series in China. The line-up will succeed last year's Vivo S17 series, which made its global and Indian debut as the Vivo V29 series.
The line-up is said to include the Vivo S18 and Vivo S18 Pro. However, ahead of the launch, Vivo has confirmed new details about the design and camera setup of the S18 series.
The company has yet to announce an official launch date for the Vivo S18 series. However, it did confirm that it would provide an exact date for the Vivo S18 series launch in China on Monday, i.e., December 4.
According to a report by MySmartPrice, the Vivo S18's color option will be inspired by "flowers from the oriental artistic conception." The poster also confirms a rectangular camera island on the back of the Vivo S18 series. The Vivo S18 series will also come with Vivo's own AI named BlueLM.
The island houses a triple-camera setup on the back with an LED flash and a larger squarish Aura Light LED, which is a deviation from the Ring Aura LED light from the Vivo S17 series. The poster also reveals that the triple-camera setup features the VCS branding.
The VCS camera branding is also spotted on the Vivo X90 and Vivo X100 series, suggesting improved camera performance on the Vivo S18 series. The design also reveals that the main camera on the Vivo S18 series will support OIS.
According to reports, the Vivo S18 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. On the other hand, the Vivo S18 Pro will use the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset. The curved OLED display is also expected to feature a 120Hz refresh rate, while the two devices could pack a 5,000 mAh battery.
