Goals from Kelvin Abrefa and Shane Long were enough to defeat Watford in the FA Cup third round.
Reading put up a fantastic effort, with Kelvin Abrefa getting on the scoresheet on his FA Cup debut. Reading scored two goals to defeat Watford, who were unable to have any authority in the game.
Abrefa broke the deadlock shortly before halftime as his flying cross was not collected by Watford defenders and made its way past goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.
The 19-year-old scored his first senior club goal. It was a dull 45 minutes as neither team could find the target despite Reading having more time on the ball.

Until Shane Long's composed low striker on the inside of the box in injury time booked Reading's spot in the FA Cup fourth round.
Reading thought they had increased their advantage to 3-0 when Azeez's shot looked to have crept inside the near post before being cleared behind for a corner.
Azeez was denied yet again, this time by a linesman who called his goal offside after he slammed the ball into the top of the net.
This is Reading's first victory since 2020.
Watford, on the other hand, were sluggish and unable to generate anything as they made 15 changes to their injury-plagued side. However, the visitors improved in the second half but still couldn't find a finishing touch in the one-sided game.
Their best chance to reduce the deficit came when Yaser Asprilla was fed through on goal and thought to creep the ball into the bottom corner, but Dean Bouzanis matched his shot and managed to make a reassuring save to keep the clean sheet.
