In a video that circulated, PSV Eindhoven player Xavi Simons was made to clean his cleats to keep his feet on the ground. The video was filmed after the player avoided cleaning his boots, but his teammates forced him to do so.
Simons, who joined PSV from PSG, has been an excellent signing for the Dutch side, as he has netted 10 goals in 24 games for club and country. And was also called up for 2022 World Cup in Netherlands squad.
Simons has been Barcelona product as he moved to PSG to play more games, but the player saw move to PSV where he has adjusted nicely and has been productive.
And his teammates have made sure that he remains a humble guy and not an ignorant player. The video came when PSV linked another youngster who is linked with Chelsea, Noni Madueke, with a video of Xavi, saying, "Gotta make sure our young superstar keeps his feet on the ground."

Simon's progress has been slow as he was tipped to become a La Masia prodigy, but a $1 million per-year contract saw the player join PSG in 2019. The 19-year-old made only six PSG appearances before moving to PSV, signing a five-year deal.
Former Manchester United manager Rudd van Nisterlrooy played a huge part in bringing the player to PSV, as he said, "We have a very good connection; it's very important for me."
"He explained very well how he wants to work with the team and with me." For my part, I prefer to play as an attacking or central midfielder; let me run, score, and assist.
Simmons scored six goals for PSV in his opening four games for the club. "I think I made a good decision by going to PSV. "I'm very happy; I think you can see" he said.
Since making his debut, Xavi has flourished for PSV and has become an important player for Rudd van Nisterlrooy.
