Pixstory brand ambassador and NBA all-star Dwight Howard on Monday spoke to Good Morning America about his mission to spread love and conquer hate on the internet through Pixstory.
 
“There is so much hate and things that are not positive on the internet and I believe this app will bring more positivity to our communities. Through this app we will get to see a lot of change and peace in our societies,” he said.
 
When asked how he aims to achieve this, Dwight came up with a characteristic lucid response: “I don’t think you can necessarily stop hate and trolling. We want to cover the messages that spew out hate with love because love conquers all.”
 
Underlying Pixstory’s philosophy, he said: “We can’t get rid of all the hate and everything that is negative, but we want to balance it out, we want social media to be used the way it was meant to be used.”
 
Dwight added that he also sees Pixstory as a platform that gives him and other basketball players the opportunity to speak with fans around the world.
 
On why Pixstory is a personal mission for him, Dwight revealed that he has experienced hate, negativity and bullying on the internet. “We want to lead with love in our hearts, we want to unify the people,” he said.
 
“Philadelphia is a city of brotherly love... and we want to spread that love and joy through Pixstory,” added the 76ers star.
