With tears raining down the eyes, the bride was bid Adieu by all near and dear. The rain Gods were kind after a sultry afternoon, there was pleasant shower brought the temperature down. It did unnerve the family a bit as the grooms party was to be hosted in the open.
However plan B was also put into action. Kashmiris make huge halls constructed on top floor of their houses- they can easily accommodate a few hundred people. So the hall was also kept ready incase rains don’t stop. However the marriage party which instead of the usual 100 plus men only had close friends and relatives of the groom following Covid protocol.
The rukhsati was done as tearful eyes sang traditional wedding songs.
