What a lovely comeback Yashasvi Jaiswal has made - on discipline front.

He was sent off the field by his captain Ajinkya Rahane while playing for West Zone in the Duleep Trophy final against South Zone in 2022. Rahane told Jaiswal to leave the field in response to his incessant sledging directed at South Zone batter Ravi Teja.


Teja had complained to Rahane about Jaiswal but when the sledging did not stop even after the involvement of the captain and the umpire, Rajane send Jaiswal off the field.

Scoring 150 plus in a test match requires a lot of patience and discipline and Jaiswal has shown by scoring three 150 plus scores in his initial innings that he doesn’t lack on patience or discipline. Sent off by captain on discipline front may have been a deal breaker for many youngsters by Jaiswal has shown that he is made of sterner stuff. Truly a plus for India.
