It normal to experience anxiety from time to time, especially when our life becomes stressful. However, when it becomes excessive, ongoing anxiety and worry which becomes difficult to control and interfere with day to day activities, then it could be a sign of generalized anxiety disorder.
It's possible to to develop GAD as a child or as an adult. GAD has similar signs to panic disorder, OCD and other types of anxiety, but they're different disorders.
Generalized anxiety disorder could vary among people, they would commonly include the following:
• Persistent anxiety or worrying about a number of areas which are out of proportion to the impact of the events.
• Othinking almost everything and also expecting the worst case outcomes.
• Perceiving the situations and events as threatening or even when they aren't.
• Finding it difficult to handle uncertainty.
• Indecisiveness and fear of taking a wrong decision.
• The Inability to set aside or let go of a worry.
• Inability to relax, feels restless and feeling keyed up or on the edge feeling.
• Difficulty in concentrating or feeling that your mind goes blank.
