Mental health is core in every person’s life. Everything you do is dictated by your mental health whether you know it or not. These are some of the things I can think of:
Work life: Good mental health will allow you to manage and keep your responsibilities and allow you to continue your job in a healthy manner. Good mental health also allows you to explore the many passions and interests you have in life and let your pursue them.
Relationships: Good mental health will allow you to maintain a healthy relationship with someone where you will be able to express emotions and communicate well. Communication is key in a lot of aspects of one's life, and when you are mentally well, you are able to handle the stress and emotional baggage that comes with relationship. Being in touch with your emotions and how you feel is important, and when you are in a good mental health state, that will allow you to translate it to someone so that your relationships will be maintained in a healthy manner.
Better habits: Building better habits will allow you to not gather terrible things and habits into life, i.e. bad physical health choices, befriending toxic people, abusing intoxicants, putting yourself at risk etc. These bad habits will start to affect you in life and pave a path where you might be in a really bad place, such as not having a job or having health problems.
Decision-making: Every aspect of your life requires you to make decisions. Making good decisions with good rational thinking requires a clear mind that’s healthy. If your mind is filled with noise and you are in a bad place, then your decisions will reflect that same state.
Happiness and sense of purpose: When your head is healthy, you will be able to truly experience life and immerse yourself in it. As a person who deals with mental health issues, it is really hard to enjoy moments and truly experience the experiences in life because your mind just ruins it. You start to enjoy life less, chase things that don’t matter and you don’t feel the radiance of life.
