Everyone says to eat a hormone balancing breakfast, but what does that even mean??
Incorporating a protein, fiber, and healthy fat will make your meal work for you, not against you. This can apply as a general rule for any meal, tbh.
1 Why protein? Starting off the day with protein helps maintain blood sugar levels meaning you won't crash midday.
2 Why fiber? Fibre helps your liver function optimally. It flushes excess hormones and also helps stabilize insulin levels.
3 Why fats? Healthy fats support adrenal health and hormone production. Avocados are my favorite way to incorporate this.
SOME OF MY FAVES;
- Avocado Toast with Eggs
- Yogurt with Berries and Flaxseeds or Chia seeds
- Kimchi eggs (using olive or avocado oil)
Keeping blood sugar in check and supporting the glands that produce our hormones is a great way to start the day!
