Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD) is a personality disorder which is characterized by extreme perfectionism, order and neatness. Those with OCPD will also feel the need to impose their standards on their outside environment.
Those with OCPD can have the following features:
• It's hard for them to express their feelings.
• They find it difficult in forming and maintaining close relationships with others.
• They're hardworking, but their obsession comes with perfection and it makes them inefficient.
• They feel indignant, angry and righteous.
• They often face social isolation.
• The experience anxiety that comes along with depression.
OCPD is often confused with anxiety disorder which is called as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). But they aren't the same condition.
Those with OCPD have no idea that there's anything that's wrong with way they think or behave. They believe that their way of thinking and doing things is the right way and whatever everyone else says is wrong.
