What is the definition of military?

Military work, the duty that every citizen performs in the ranks of the army, enlistment... Military is a term that can refer to two meanings, the first is soldiers and female soldiers, and the second is the armed forces.  Over the years, armies or armed forces have come in various shapes and sizes;  Starting from a group of villagers led by their prince, to a huge full army prepared for invasion just like in World War II.
