Lalu Prasad Yadav, 74, an ailing Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former chief minister of Bihar, will be flown to New Delhi's All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Wednesday evening, according to those with knowledge of the situation. His condition is stable.
He is still being treated in the ICU at the Paras hospital in Patna. He will be flown to Delhi in an air ambulance for further treatment; before, he was receiving care at AIIMS. The family wants to take him to Delhi, according to the unnamed source.
Lalu Yadav is visited by Nitish Kumar in the hospital, who wishes him a quick recovery.
