When Sulochana Latkar dies: Amitabh Bachchan pays tribute; Says, "I was monitoring her condition..." Veteran actress Sulochana Latkar passed away yesterday after a prolonged illness  caused by her age. 94, he was. He was known for her roles in Hindi and Marathi films and  appeared in more than 300 films in her career. She also played Amitabh Bachchan's on-screen mother in several films including Muqadddar Ka Sikander, Majboor and Reshma Aur Shera.

Amitabh wrote, "We have lost another great of our film world - Sulochana jin. a gentle, generous and caring mother who acted with me in several films." Sulochana was ill for some time and  left for his heavenly home today.





He made his acting debut in 1946 and was born on July 30, 1928 in Khadaklat village  in Belagavi,  now in Karnataka. Tema roll Bimal Roy klasikaj "Bandini" (1963), mida siiani tamahatakse, oli eks theme best rolle Bollywoodis.
