Interestingly, whenever there is re-exposure to inflammatory foods, the symptoms reappear. They then report increased appetite, sugar cravings, bloating, lower levels of energy and mood swings. The Case of the Pained Back
Mr G., forty-six, was referred to us by his physiotherapy clinic because he could find no relief for the pain in his lower back. at five feet nine, he weighed 96 kg and had a bMI of 30, marking him as obese.
Presenting Symptoms
Inflammation in the sacroiliac joint in the lower back and such severe pain that he could not exercise at all. Iron and vitamin d3 levels were low, eosinophils and uric acid were high and intestinal inflammation marker faecal calprotectin was 67 (it should be under 50). he also had abnormal cholesterol levels. All these markers indicated inflammation.
