As a movie enthusiast I love to watch movies in theatres and have tried all formats and today will be sharing my experiences and preferences.

1. 2D- it is the classic format and every film is available in it. If you want to focus on just watching the movie and the format doesn’t really affect you much, this is the one you should go for.

2. 3D- it makes subjects in the film come alive and makes the film more immersive though i am not a big fan of the downgrade in quality in some 3D versions of films. Nevertheless, it enhances the theatre experience and is loved by most movie enthusiasts.

3. IMAX- it’s a fairly new format. Movies in the imax format have larger screens and are filmed with specific cameras. If you love picking up the little details, you might like this format and it’s larger screen.

4. 4DX- takes the experience to a whole new level. Along with the characters coming alive as the movie is in 3D you also get to experience the scents, movements and water, if any, in each scene. Thus, it truly makes you feel like you are in the movie.
