Almost a week ago, Antonio Conte and Tottenham Hotspur after the manager had been critical of the squad and the management following a three-all draw to Southampton. Conte is replaced by Cristian Stellini until the end of the season before the Tottenham management decides to find a replacement in the summer. Antonio Conte became the fourth manager to get sacked from the club since 2019 with the likes of Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santos shown the exit door in the past.
Tottenham should be keen on getting a manager that makes them more competitive in the Premier League and end their trophy drought. The North London outfits haven’t won a trophy since their League cup success in 2008 despite making a few finals since then. It’s clear that Tottenham need a rebuild and fast with a lot of defects in the current Spurs side.
With that said here are possible candidates to be Tottenham’s new manager.
#1 Mauricio Pochettino: The Argentine coach has been out of the job since he was relieved of his duties by Paris Saint Germain last summer after guiding the Parisian to a Ligue 1 title. Since being relieved of his duties at the club, no manager has lasted a full season and he remains the most successful Tottenham manager in recent history. Whether or not, Pochettino and the board will be willing to come together again is in question but the Tottenham team needs a rebuild and who better to start this rebuild than the man that started the previous one?
