The children in Japan have a lot of freedom. They go to schools on their own. They take buses and trains, all on their own. The parents are not worried about their child’s safety. The locals are very helpful.

Thus younger kids wear bright yellow coloured cap to be seen easily in traffic. And people can recognize them easily to help them out. A safe society where children can roam freely is part of their culture. This makes me wonder, what if all societies were like this? It would be so much better.
