Good post 👏
Have you ever compared your child with others when it came to their food intake? What their parents must have done right, for creating a positive experience involving food? When their child rejected food, they didn't get irritated or upset? They didn't fall in the trap of 'has my child eaten enough!?'
The answer is - They were patient enough to understand that they were preparing their child for a lifelong journey of learning, developing and appreciating food. Acceptance and rejection would be a part of this journey! They didn't stress out if their child skipped a meal or ate less during a particular phase or a day... This freed them from constant anxiety and worry about'please have one more bite right now!' Thev didn't Force Feed. They let the child decide the intake!
Every child is different. The amount of food they need varies based on their age, activity level, growth rate and appetite. It's normal for your child to eat more on some days than others. Your child's appetite can be affected by their mood, their health, the time of day and the food offered. Parents too play a very important role in shaping their child's preferences and creating a positive/negative experience around food.
