Zincenko suits the way Arteta wants his side to play. He possesses fantastic qualities on the ball and has been key in creating chances for the attackers this season, He deploys a position in midfield frequently which has worked brilliantly. Unfortunately, Tierney does not possess the same qualities as Zinchenko and while he is also a brilliant player, he does not possess ball-playing attributes required for him to start ahead of Zinchenko. A move away from Arsenal therefore makes complete sense for the Scotsman. He is 25-years-old and is reaching the prime of his career therefore he needs to be playing week in week out. While there will be a temptation to stay at Arsenal and act as a player who provides good squad depth, for his own career and ambition he should look for a move.
Newcastle are reported to be interested in Tierney and this would be a good move for all both parties. Tierney would go straight into the starting eleven and as there is an expectation Newcaslte will be competing on all fronts soon, it is an exciting proposition for any player.
