As soon as the Twitter takeover was completed, Elon Musk replaced Paras Agrawal as the CEO of Twitter, paying a compensation of $42 Million, as per several media reports.

"You are free to tweet ‘is Twitter dying?’ or anything else about Twitter,” Parag Agrawal wrote, "but it’s my responsibility to tell you that it’s not helping me make Twitter better in the current context.
Musk’s intention of buying Twitter was clear from the beginning. During the takeover battle, when Musk claimed that Twitter was understating the number of spam accounts on its service, Agrawal laid out a detailed defence in a series of tweets. Musk’s response: a single poop emoji conveying his disdain.
Paras Agrawal's expected salary figure is based on the research done by form Equilar. The estimate includes a year's worth of Agrawal's base salary plus accelerated vesting of all equity awards.
