Blue overshadowed Red as Old Trafford watched in dismay, their team being put to the sword by their City rivals, in a derby that will live long in the memory of the United faithful.

In the wake of the tragedy that befell upon Manchester, this derby felt like the perfect occasion for the Red Devils to breathe life into their season and pay a fitting tribute to the late great Sir Bobby Charlton. But destiny had something else in store for United, as City demolished a lifeless United team and stamped their authority as the new kings of Manchester.

Since Sir Alex bid farewell to Old Trafford, United have tried to paper over the cracks. Signing big-name players for a fortune, sacking managers if things went astray, and not clearing the deadwood has taken a toll on Manchester United.  As fans now watch in agony, their club sinking in front of their very eyes.

The lack of vision of the owners and the failure to structure a proper plan for the smooth functioning of the club has led to the downfall of the once-great Manchester United. From the leaking roofs at Old Trafford to the enormous debt that the club is on are just some examples of the shitstorm at United.

Everything from the top to the bottom needs to change at Manchester United. The Glazers have put their personal benefit over the well-being of the club and like parasites have sucked the life out of this great club. The United Faithful's last shot at redemption was also lost, with Sheik Jassim pulling out of the race to buy the club.

With Radcliffe being named the new footballing head of United. The first thing he must do is hire a proper director of football. And then he must clear the deadwood, who have been stealing a living since the days of Moyes. Sir Jim must also change the recruitment plans at United. In the recruitment department, Radcliffe must take some notes from the books of Brighton.



Although, the future looks bleak for the club, the United faithfuls can only hope and pray that some miracle saves their club from extinction.
