Who is excited world taekwondo competition??

The national Taekwondo players of Afghanistan will face their opponents in the competitions of the World Taekwondo Festival from today. These competitions will be held from 18th of August to 24th of August 2023 , for seven days in the city of "Gangwan" in South Korea. Eight taekwondo players from Afghanistan have participated in these competitions.

Yesterday, the athletes' weighting ceremony was held. The Taekwondo Cultural Festival, which is also known as the Octagonal World Taekwondo Diamond Competition, is one of the major events of Taekwondo. According to the official website of the competition, this festival is expected to be attended by fifteen thousand athletes, coaches and tourists from 60 countries of the world will be held.

This festival will be held in the sections of Taekwondo Octagonal Diamond Competition, Beach Taekwondo Competition, Team Taekwondo Championship and Parakwondo Competition.

Until this moment, the draw of the tournament of three Afghan taekwondo players has been announced. Today, in the weight of 63 kg, Bijan Sadrzadeh from Afghanistan will compete against Yerdus Uralbkov from Kazakhstan in the first match.

In the weight of 80 kg, Ramesh Hosseini from Afghanistan has faced a rest draw in the first round. In the next round, this athlete will fight with the winner of the match between "Mohammed Khairullah" from Syria and "Eldar Berimbai" from Kazakhstan.

In the same weight, Omid Sohak, the other national taekwondo player of Afghanistan, who rests in the first round, will compete with the winner of the match, "Jin Su Choi" from South Korea, and "Aghayad Abdul Aal" from Syria in the second round.
