The World Taekwondo Festival started yesterday morning in the city of Gangwon, South Korea, and Bizhan Sadrzadeh, the 63 kg Taekwondo champion of Afghanistan, defeated Yerdus Uralbkov from Kazakhstan in the first match. In the semi-final, he also defeated Yeldus Yescak, another Kazakh athlete, and made it to the finals of the tournament.
Sadrzadeh won his first match in two consecutive rounds and made it to the semi-finals. In the semi-final match, he beat his opponent two to one. Sadrzadeh's opponent Yeldous Yisak in this match has three international taekwondo medals and experience of participating in two world championship taekwondo competitions and the Asian Games.
