Major news in Elon Musk's X case against the infamous left-wing propaganda outlet, Media Matters.

Media Matters is a self-described “progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media.”

However, Media Matters has now run into some problems of its own, spreading misinformation itself.

Back in 2023, Media Matters published a hit piece against Musk and X alleging incontrovertible evidence that the average user would see an advertiser's ads next to extremist and hateful content on the platform.

Musk hit back with evidence that Media Matters basically fabricated the whole entire thing by creating accounts, following, and reacting to only racist and hateful accounts. And then refreshing the page thousands of times until they finally saw an advertisement next to hateful content.

Following the hit piece by Media Matters, X sued, and just recently the judge in the case denied Media Matters motion to dismiss the case. This is huge because it would allow X to interview decision makers at Media Matters and collect internal documents as part of the discovery process.

It may very well reveal the dark underbelly of these supposed media watchdogs who care little about the truth and only care about their protecting their fragile ideology. You know, as somebody who loves and collects art, it is truly saddening to see art being used for nefarious purposes.
