Yang Jae Woong and EXID’s Hani Postpone Wedding Amid Controversy

Psychiatrist Yang Jae Woong and EXID’s Hani have decided to postpone their wedding in light of a recent controversy. The wedding, initially planned for this month, has been delayed, with Yang Jae Woong confirming that the couple reached this decision after discussion.

Yang Jae Woong’s agency, Mystic Story, stated, “Yang Jae Woong has postponed his wedding with Hani, which was scheduled for September.” The agency further noted, “A new date for the wedding has not been set.”

Additionally, it was announced that Yang Jae Woong will be shutting down the YouTube channel "Yang Bros’ Psychological World" (literal title), which he co-hosted with his brother, Yang Jae Jin.

Hani’s agency, Sublime Artist Agency, commented on the situation, stating, “We are unable to confirm.”

Earlier, on May 27, a patient identified as “A” passed away after spending 33 days in Yang Jae Woong’s mental health hospital in Bucheon, where they were being treated for diet pill addiction. The cause of death was reported as intestinal pseudo-obstruction.

The patient’s family alleges that despite the patient’s severely bloated abdomen, they were not given care by the hospital’s internal medicine doctor or advised to seek additional treatment. The family also accused the hospital of overprescribing sleep aids and tranquilizers, referencing an autopsy by the National Forensic Service that found near-lethal levels of these drugs.

In response to the controversy, Yang Jae Woong issued an official apology through his agency, stating, “Both the former medical staff and I are deeply saddened by the incident that occurred during the hospitalization at W Jin Hospital. We sincerely apologize to the deceased and the bereaved family who are in mourning.”
