Yet Another Minervan, Thoiba Singh Earns Senior National Team Call-Up

Minerva Academy's proud tradition of producing exceptional talent continues as Thoiba Singh receives his maiden call-up to the Indian National Team.

The 20-year-old sensation, already making waves in the Indian Super League (ISL) with Odisha FC, will join forces with fellow Minervans Anwar Ali and Sandesh Jhingan against Malaysia on November 18th.

Thoiba's remarkable rise is underscored by his record-breaking feat as the youngest player to play and also score a goal in AFC Cup history. Thoiba had a lot of success with Minerva and later also won the Super Cup with Odisha FC.

Primarily a defensive midfielder, his versatility extends to defensive duties, showcasing his adaptability and skill.

Head Coach Manolo Marquez's faith in Thoiba's abilities is testament to the youngster's dedication and Minerva Academy's esteemed training. As India prepares to face Malaysia, Thoiba's inclusion injects fresh talent into the squad.

With Thoiba's addition Minerva now have their tally at 15 for players supplied to the Indian Senior National Team, namely, Sandesh Jhingan, Kamaljit Singh, Vikram Pratap Singh, Davinder Singh, Vinit Rai, Manvir Singh Sr., Jeakson Singh, Narender Gehlot, Anirudh Thapa, Hormipam Ruivah, Anwar Ali, Germanpreet Singh, Baljit Singh Saini, Akash Sangwan and now Thoiba Singh Moirangthem.
