Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday handed over special clothes made for Shri Ram Lalla to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
The special clothes were made under an 'innovative effort' of the Pune-based Heritage Handweaving Revival Charitable Trust which claimed that it engaged over 12-lakh people to weave the fabric and stitch the clothes.
The Handweaving Trust claimed that the clothes were made by 12.36 lakh people from different walks of life under an initiative named 'Do dhaage Shri Ram ke liye' during a programme between December 10 and 22 last year. The Trust works for the upliftment of weavers from across India. The Trust held a programme where they gave an opportunity to people from different walks of life to weave and stitch clothes for Lord Ram, as reported by IndianExpress.
Praising the Trust, Yogi said that the clothes are weaved in the fabric of devotion. The Chief Minister thanked them for this and handed over the clothes to Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji, Treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra.
