Amid the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024, a viral video depicting a youth allegedly casting his "vote" eight times for the BJP candidate from the Farrukhabad Lok Sabha constituency has surfaced.
The video captures the individual recording himself as he repeatedly votes, raising concerns over electoral malpractice. The incident occurred during polling for the Farrukhabad constituency on May 13.
In response to the alarming footage, the Congress party took to social media platform X, urging the Election Commission of India (ECI) to intervene, stating, "Ab toh Jagiye" (Now wake up), while Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav condemned the incident, alleging, "BJP's booth committee is actually a loot committee."
A man has been arrested from Uttar Pradesh’s Etah after his video of voting eight times for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) went viral. The state’s chief election officer has issued orders to suspend all the members of the polling party from the station.
The arrested youngster has been identified as Rajan Singh, a resident of the village of Khiriya Pamaran in Etah district.
According to officials, the incident was reported in Farrukhabad parliamentary constituency, and action was taken after the video went viral on social media on Sunday.
