Oleksandr Zinchenko has missed the Arsenal game through injury, the club have announced. The Ukrainian has a tight groin and has been left out of the squad as a precaution. Arsenal will hope Zinchenko will be fit for the Southampton game on Friday but this is unclear at this stage.
In his place, Kieran Tierney starts his first game in the Premier League since the return fixture against West Ham, in December. There has been a lot of speculation over the Scot's future this summer but when on the pitch for Arsenal this season, Tierney has played well.
This season Zinchenko has been a revelation for Arsenal, with his ability to drop into midfield and pull the strings. While Tierney doesn't have quite the same assets, it is likely he will be asked to come inside and provide an option for Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey.
The rest of the team is as you would expect from Mikel Arteta. Aaron Ramsdale starts in the Arsenal goal, following his incredible display at Anfield last week. Ben White and Gabriel continue in defence alongside Rob Holding who continues to deputise for Arsenal while we await news on William Saliba's availability in the last part of the season.
Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard and Granit Xhaka make up Arsenal's midfield. Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka complete the team and form a front three of incredibly in-form players. Martinelli and Jesus both scored at Anfield, while Saka is on a small dry-patch when it comes to scoring but is continuing to play very well.
Arsenal must not underestimate a West Ham team fighting for their Premier League survival this afternoon but will be confident for the three points if they can play their game.
